Envision Financial

Community Crew

The Envision Financial Community Crew is a youth ambassador program designed to develop leadership skills and provide an opportunity for students to act as role models while giving back to our local communities. Throughout the year, our team of enthusiastic high school, and university students attend your favourite local community events, and offer free activities such as face painting, play giant jenga, give out fun items, and more. In addition to this, during the summer each Crew member has a unique volunteer placement with one of our non-profit partners.

Head out and see them at local events like the Maple Ridge Country Fest, the Coquitlam Neighbourhood Nights, the new Summerset in Fort Langley, and more. In engaging with you through our activities, and by helping the community through our volunteer internships, we aim to make a positive impact and improve the lives of people in our communities.

Cherry's story

"Hello! My name is Cherry Chen and I am a second year commerce student at the University of British Columbia. Being a part of the community crew this year is an amazing opportunity for me to really become involved and engaged with the community. Not only can I develop interpersonal skills, but I also have the opportunity to help brighten someone's day through our family activities at community events and my volunteer placement. Taryn Phipps Envision Financial Community Crew

Taryn's story

"Hey! My name is Taryn Phipps and I’m a high school student going into grade 12 at North Surrey Secondary. I am still trying to decide where I want to go for post-secondary and what I would like to study, which is part of the reason I joined the Community Crew. I also joined the Community Crew because I have always been interested in becoming more involved in the community, but never really knew how to go about that, and found that this is the perfect way! I am so excited to spend the next year heading to lots of of fun events and meeting so many new people!"

Cyan Abbey Envision Financial Community Crew

Cyan's story

"Hello there! My name is Cyan Abbey and I am a fourth year political science student at Simon Fraser University. The past year I was living in France on a study abroad program but now I’m back and excited to work alongside the other amazing people on the Community Crew. Having grown up in the Okanagan Valley, I felt quite disconnected from my new community in the Lower Mainland when I moved here in 2016, which is why being a part of this team is so important to me. It offers me the opportunity to engage with the people I live alongside, to progress as a leader, and to give back to my community in meaningful ways. "
