Envision Financial Douglas College Community Building Program

The Envision Financial Douglas College Community Building program launched in 2012. Since then over 60 students have worked with 18 different non-profit organizations, helping each agency advance a specific organizational challenge. Students have designed volunteer programs, developed social media plans and marketing strategies and produced promotional branded materials for a variety of social causes.

We’re excited to announce our 2018-2019 community partners.

Alouette Addictions Services

We first partnered with Alouette Addictions Services in 2015 and again in 2017. This year, Douglas College students will be developing strategies on how to market and launch a Podcast program—something brand new for Alouette.

Canada SCORES

A first-time participant, the Canada SCORES project will focus on a new marketing and branding strategy designed to raise awareness for the organization through online and offline communications.

Coquitlam Firefighters Charitable Society

Another first-time participant, we’re looking forward to working with Society committee members to build strategies and tools to drive more engagement and support of their community involvement.

UMOJA Operation Compassion Society

Returning for a second year, students will focus on implementing the marketing strategy developed in 2018 by our Douglas College student-led project team.

Envision Financial and Douglas College designed the community building program to address capacity and knowledge gaps that affect many non-profit agencies—this unique project provides real business experience for students and adds to their classroom learning, while community partners gain valuable business tools and strategies.
